I love the park and it's scenery. But for the love for all that is holy. Please open the cliff trail once again. It was closed from April to October, and still might be.

Long list of things that make this place amazing.. ready? Disc Golf, Fossils (that's right - you can find plenty of them near the paint mine site), zip lines, beautiful hiking trails leading to awesome overlooks, plenty of amazingly clean bathrooms and waterfountains, a visitor center with friendly staff to answer all your questions, pavilions all over for family functions. Also... FOSSILS! A nature center with lots of hands on learning and bird watching. And its all free. Seriously, an amazing place to take your family.

If you want to get a birds-eye view of downtown Albany go here. The elevation is 1,100 feet. You will find plenty of picnic tables, grills and playgrounds for the kids. It also features the scenic Indian Ladder Trail and a wonderful and highly educational visitor center.

One of our favorite local parks to visit. And now they have a great visitor's center. Be sure to seek out the Indian Ladder Trail that leads under the waterfalls, and the ziplines for the kids. There is also a hike that brings you through some tight crevices. Bring a lunch and take some time to explore and enjoy the amazing views!

Amazing views from many parts of the park. Extensive trail network that you could easily get lost in. I'd suggest exploring some of the less visited sections of the park. We often find fossils in the river beds.
